Day One - Saturday, December 28th 2024

Tour of Accra

We will visit the WEB DuBois Museum which honors the life and work of the influential African American civil rights leader and scholar who became a citizen of Ghana. Kwame Nkrumah Museum dedicated to Ghana's first president and a pivotal figure in the country's independence. Independence Square (Black Star Square) which is one of the most iconic landmarks in Ghana and a symbol of the nation's freedom from colonial rule, enjoy an authentic Ghanaian lunch, and end with some local shopping at the Art Center.

Day Two - Sunday, December 29th 2024

Day Two Trip to Ada in Eastern Ghana

We will go to the historical Nkyinkyin Museum, a unique space dedicated to contemporary Ghanaian art that tells the stories of Ghana’s rich heritage and culture.  Aqua Safari Hotel, for lunch and enjoy optional water activities like jet skiing, paddle boarding, and more. This resort is known for its beautiful riverside setting and opportunities to experience the local aquatic wildlife. 

Day Three - Monday, December 30th 2024

Community outreach and wellness visits

Participate in wellness visits, including blood pressure and glucose checks, and engage in educational activities that promote healthy living, focusing on managing blood pressure, stroke prevention, and blood sugar levels. This day is dedicated to providing health screening and information to the local women of the community, promoting health and wellness. Bring toiletries to donate to those in need, making a meaningful impact on the lives of many. *All Are Welcome*

Day Four - Monday, December 31st 2024

Traditional naming ceremony, with an optional beach day at Labadi Beach.

Experience a traditional Ghanaian Naming Ceremony, a significant cultural event that symbolizes the welcoming of a child into the community, in this case welcoming you into the community. You can also opt for a Royalty Photoshoot, where you'll be dressed in traditional attire, providing a unique memento of your time in Ghana. Afterward, unwind with an optional beach day at Labadi Beach, one of Accra's most popular beaches,

Day Five - Tuesday, January 1st 2025

Explore Aburi Botanical Gardens

Aburi Botanical Gardens is located in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Established in 1890, these gardens provide a serene escape with their lush greenery, exotic plant species, and historical monuments. The gardens also offer stunning views of the surrounding hills and are a great spot for photography and relaxation.

Day Six - Wednesday, January 2nd 2025

Kakum National Park and Cape Coast Dungeon

Early morning road trip to Cape Coast, first stop is Kakum National Park, famous for its canopy walkway suspended high above the forest floor. After the hike, enjoy lunch at Coconut Grove Beach Resort, located along the picturesque coastline. In the afternoon, explore Elmina Dungeon, the oldest European structure in sub-Saharan Africa, built by the Portuguese in 1482. This UNESCO World Heritage Site provides a sobering but essential insight into the transatlantic slave trade.
